The only way to explain Mels comedy, is straight from the hip. Growing up in a bad neighborhood and being one of the few to make it to college he proved to his self and others that he wanted more out of life than just being average. He worked in the corporate world for years but comedy was in his heart, so he follwed the dream. He is able to combine the street life along with the corporate world. His comedy is multi cultural giving him the chance to let people see life the way he sees it. He is able to make fun of real life situations by giving you a view from his eyes, ( Kieth Crosby of Detroit Gosple.com). He started to follow the comedy dream about 6 years ago. The first time he hit the stage was in college at a talent show where he went up and did jokes off the top of his head and ended up winning the competition. I knew then this is what I wanted to do (says Mel). He started by doing open mics and then quickly moved to the MC spot. From there he wanted more so he took it to the next level and became a headliner an have not stopped since. He has opened for acts such as Cedric The Entertainer, Damon Wayens, Dave Coulier, D.L Hugley and many more. His goal is to become one of the funneist comics in the country and it doesn’t look like he will stop until he gets there.
