"I saw Mishful Thinking at the Rage Against Howard gig a week or two ago and I loved their funky, original tunes with front woman Mish playing and singing up a storm. She blows her own trumpet and so she should with some really good songs written by her and spicy arrangements from the band - which should go down a treat at this week's herb Festival. They're playing this saturday, August 21, from 3pm on the main stage."

My songs flow freely, often, and with deep feeling. I guess they are sometimes almost cabaret with a philisophical edge, so a sound engineer once said...that makes sense, considering the life I've led! I spent my early years listening to Bread, Queen, Eagles, Tori Amos, 80's hits, Riki Lee Jones, Madonna, Michael Jackson to name a few...and playing trumpet and singing since age 7, the great jazz masters never passed me by; Dizzy, Ella, Miles, Billy, The Duke...big band, orchestra and concet band days brought in other influences as well...
I spent my childhood thinking I'd be an actress, performing in musical theatre, or a poet, then went overseas at 23, stayed for 3 years and learnt that I could actually put my words to music and soon fell in love with the piano...since then there has been no greater love...I haven't heard any songwriter similar to me, in that I'm trying to stay positive in my intensions to 1. get off my chest what I need to & 2. keep it hopeful for the listener so to spark something in them (and me) that connects them to an inner power/knowing...cause...we are all one right?
ah in raving about my songs, words do me no justice...listen, keep your heart open and trust yourself. Do what you dream you can...is all I want to ever say and sing about! Ah yet the life I choose re-moulds me...and never one moment stays the same...
