"Menace aka Bad Influence is having a positive impact on hip-hop..."

2008 YEAR OF THE “BLACK UNSTOPPABLE MAN (B.U.M.)”

Dawgstarr Entertainment recording artist Menace aka Bad Influence is set to release his first single B.U.M. (Black Unstoppable Man), off his debut album MONEY, ENTERTAINMENT & WAR. Officially announcing to the world that this is the Year of the Black Unstoppable Man.

New York City, NY (PRWEB) March 19th 2008 – One of the hottest artist to come out of the Bronx NY, billed as the hood favorite, Menace aka Bad Influence is no stranger to the New York underground scene. His first single B.U.M. (Black Unstoppable Man) has been referred to as the beginning of a movement. This so-called movement consists of young Black men challenging the classic stereotypes placed upon them over the decades. The entire album is a call to action, for those urban youth expected to become nothing more than statistics. BUMS! LOSERS!

In the heart of New York City (Times Square), on March 31st 2008, Menace will be performing at the Spotlight Live located at 1604 Broadway, at 49th street. What makes this night even more interesting, is the live performance will also be the set of the B.U.M. video, with about 400 people expected in attendance. Artist such as Kanye West and Alicia Keys have performed at the Spotlight live recently.

The single is currently being promoted to hundreds of radio stations and through Internet social sites such as Myspace http://www.myspace.com/menaceofficialpage and CDBaby digital distribution http://www.cdbaby.com/menaceaka, where the album is available for sale. The debut album MONEY, ENTERTAINMENT, & WAR off the independent label Dawgstarr Entertainment, is available now in itunes, at live shows, and Super D One-Stop Distributor for retailers.

“When I listen to this album, it reminds me of how I felt in the summer of 1994 when Nas’ Illmatic and Notorious BIG’s Ready to Die first set the streets of New York on fire. This is classic shit here…” D. Wade President/CEO Dawgstarr Ent.

Bio

Menace aka Bad influence is the hood favorite! Born and raised in the cradle of Hip Hop culture, the South Bronx, he brings to life stories that capture the essence of urban warfare, poverty, and systematical repression. With a strong team behind him, better known as BKS (Best Kept Secret, Best Kids Spittin, or Bronx Killa Set), Menace brings a lot of energy to his songs and live performances.

As a solo artist, his grind is rarely matched. Without the help of any major labels, Menace has managed to record and distribute several solo projects titled: “Menace 2 the industry Vol. 1 (Mixtape)”, “Top Shottas Edition (Mixtape)”, and “Money, Entertainment and War (Album).” Aside from these projects Menace has also featured on the Best Kept compilation titled “Loyalty Respect and Honor” and The Killa Set mixtape titled “Back 2 the X Vol. 1.” But it was Money, Entertainment & War that captured the attention of Dawgstarr Entertainment. Now signed to Dawgstarr, his sites are set on bringing New York Hip Hop back to the forefront.

Menace has performed in various clubs and showcases through out the Tri-State area (New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut), and along the east coast from Massachusetts down to Florida. He is not just a rapper, but he is a personality, a true master of ceremony. This was made evident when he hosted the Hip Hop Uncensored Vol. 9 Showcase in South Beach, Miami. Menace also put on a great show at the Sony Epic Record Hype the Mic Talent Showcase at club 88 Keys in Woodbridge NJ, Dawgstarr Entertainment Mixtape/Showcase at Worth Lounge in Lower Manhattan, NYC, and at Spotlight live in Times Square.

Menace was inspired by artist such as Rakim, KRS, Kool G Rap, Biggie, Big Pun, Tupac,Ghost & Raekwon , Nas, Jay-Z, Redman, Richard Pryor, Scarface, Dre & Snoop, and Al Green. However, many feel that he fills that void left by Mob Deep, MOP, N.W.A, and Cyprus Hills. When the stars lose street credibility, they will come to Menace to get it back!
