Mendetz

Mendetz is a group of old friends who enjoy like children playing with their machines and synthesizers.

Since then, Stefano Maccarrone (Guitar & Vocals), Jan Martí (Keyboards & Vocals), Oriol Francisco (Bass) and Pablo Filomeno (Drums), have continued to rub shoulders with some of the leading bands on the international scene proving to be a the height of the best.

In October 2006 was released their first album "Mendetz", before getting a lot of success with their first demo Cd, becoming the first "demo-band" that play in big festivals like BAM or Summercase (with New Order, Massive Attack or Daft Punk), and many Clubs around Spain, such as Razzmatazz and Apolo.

In addition they also released an EP through Naked Man Records in UK. They were nominated for the MTV Europe Music Awards '07 in the category New Sounds Of Europe. They has opening act of his admired The Rapture, the pretty famous Artic Monkeys or a sexy and wild band !!!.

Nowadays they have just released their new album "Silly Symphonies", without doubt the most timeless and mature release of the band. It includes an artistic collaboration of Gala Rizzatto according to their usual performance of her best hit, "Freed from Desire".
