Mercury Landing

Mercury Landing is a justice league of musician superheroes who came together in the unlikeliest of circumstances. It was a snowy winter's eve in late 2012 when an extraterrestrial terrorist threat united the powers of these 7 musical warriors in defense of their homes in New York City. The aliens attacked with fervor, sprinkling spores of a strange virus into Brooklyn's water supply. Soon thereafter, panic ensued in the streets of Kings County as hipster zombies began roaming aimlessly in tight black jeans, fedora hats, and cleverly waxed moustaches. It was a river of Brooklynite pretention that could only be forded with the curious, eclectic, and powerful sound vibrations that naturally emanate from Mercury Landing's music asylum. The band discovered a safe path amongst the hipster zombies of Brooklyn. With chainsaw guitars revving and drumstick shotguns blazing, the legendary band forged an alliance for the humble music lovers and the shameless dance-party-animals of the world. Though that would not be the last of the alien enemies, nor the hipster zombies, but emboldened with the synergy of their 7 forces combined, Mercury Landing fears no foe.

Mercury Landing has made allies along the way (Tea Leaf Green, Perpetual Groove, Strangefolk, the Breakfast, etc.), as well as enemies (Jack White, the Easter Bunny, and Rick Santorum's eldest son). They have had valiant moments of musical prowess on the battlefields of the Bowery Ballroom, Highline Ballroom, and the Music Hall of Williamsburg. They even took to the forest festivals of Strange Creek, Wormtown, and Evolvefest.

Mercury Landing's history runs deep. The name dates back to 2005, when the league founder, Corey J. Feldman, originally conceptualized the musical union. This band of merry pranksters has seen many musicians over the years, but none like the ones who currently embody the truth, skill, and sheer strength that make up the current Mercury Landing.
