Mercutio started when Sam Chisholm decided to put together a band. Sam heard that Cory Ducharme had recently parted ways with his former band, and was looking for a new one. Sam quickly jumped at the opportuntity and confronted Cory on the terms of starting a band. Cory asked his step-brother Fil Glover to play bass for the band and he lept at the challenge, and fit perfectly with the band. Casey Rivera completed the band with his creative drumming. Dave Gundry jumped at the chance to join as a second guitarist, and was instantly welcomed into the band. He fit perfectly, and the band finally felt complete. They began writing music and dubbed themselves "Mercutio". With Sam and Dave on the guitar, Fil on the bass, Casey on drums, and Cory as frontman, they are finally ready to show the scene what they can bring to the table. With heart-felt lyrics, crunching guitars, propulsive drumming, and a jaw dropping live show, Mercutio will hit the stage, hard. There first EP is due out in May 2005.
