For years I have followed the Christ-inspired music of worship leaders throughout the country, marveling at their ability to minister and praise the Lord in spirit and in truth - leading countless souls to Jesus Christ along the way.
As dynamic speakers, singers, musicians and ministers help millions across the world discover the joy and sheer beauty that comes with worship and praise, I have found myself praying that this too is my time and God's will for me to join this energized family of faithful believers and leaders in the Christian music industry.
As a follower of Jesus and His Word; believing firmly in His promise to return and reign in eternity, I have led praise and worship, adult and youth ministries for over 15 years. More importantly, I have learned through my spiritual growth and relationship with Christ that true worship requires we move beyond ourselves, allowing our bodies - our voices and our lives - to be the vessels and instruments of God's voice and the powerful Word He has to deliver.
When we decide to worship the Lord lavishly with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength, we undoubtedly bless Him and benefit others. This abandonment of self in worship sets in motion both an inner and outward revival.
Having experienced the saving power of Jesus through grace, I have been redeemed and revived. I have come to embrace and will forever engage in true worship - the abatement of self for God's glory.
Lastly, you will find like all human stories, mine comes with a beginning, middle and end. This is my middle. Prior to coming to the saving knowledge of Jesus, I lived life out loud - giving victory to the wrong lord. My dance with the devil brought about pain, heart-ache, homelessness and abuse.
While I never abused my body with drugs or deadly substances, I found a strong passion for food - a passion that eventually led to a body weight of 260 pounds. Over the course of several years Christ enabled me to discover a new hope and a new life. After losing over 100 pounds, my testimony fell on a national audience (Weight Watchers Success story) and I've been telling it non-stop ever since.
