"John Mays, Centricity Records"

"This is real gospel music-what you hear at a real gospel church on Sunday mornings. You're re-creating the songs each time you sing and you're doing a fantastic job! God is opening the doors and your job now is to be faithful - go into any situation and just blow the roof off this thing. Stand the hair up on people's heads and blow their ties back so they leave and go, 'was she white?" - Taped Manuscript, Gospel Music of America

"Myron Butler, Gospel Recording Artist"

"This is excellent! What power! It resonates and I am just awestruck - these are high energy songs and you execute them flawlessly! You have stamina, vocal ability, pizazz, IT! God never ceases to amaze us - He packages His gifts and His callings and His worship in multiple shades of colors - and we thank you, Merribeth, for being a blessing to the body!" - Live transcript, Gospel Music Association

"Kurt Carr, Gospel Composer and Artist"

"Whenever I come to Houston, I'm pulling you up to sing with me." - He said so

Bio

With the transistor radio under her pillow, she learned how to sweetly maneuver the lead vocals and harmonies from Motown to Blue Note, pop, rock and jazz. From growling Janis Joplin and Led Zeppelin in the day to crooning Funny Girl and torch songs, Merribeth shares her history with audiences-what we go through gets us to where we are now.

A powerhouse voice, classically trained but beat-inspired, her fresh delivery will propel you into a higher dimension, then soothe you into a sweet lullaby to the Holy Spirit. "My blues has turned into Worship and Praise!"

Merribeth is His instrument, and conveys the love and passion that is our God's essence! Enjoy her here, where she sings impromptu with V. Michael McKay in concert with Houston Mass Choir of the GMWA:
