merry go drown

Formed in 2000, Merry-Go-Drown hail from New Orleans, LA. Comprised from members of two of New Orleans' most hard hitting bands during the late 90's, both of which happened to dissolve around the same time allowing members Jeremy Young (bass) & Phill Breazeale (guitar) from one, and Donn Lacoste (guitar) & Mike Anglin (drums) from the other to begin creating music for what would soon be known as Merry-Go-Drown. Enter Brandon Magnon, a singer/songwriter with extreme talent and range in vocals. Brandon's singing can draw you in deep and his screams will raise the hairs on your neck. The final piece in place, Merry-Go-Drown was complete.
The songwriting is ranged from deep & moody to heavy & aggressive with a little bit of everything mixed in between. Merry-Go-Drown pride themselves in being diverse with songwriting and confident that every finished song, no matter how light or heavy, fits into the Merry-Go-Drown mold.

The live show is one part energy, one part accuracy, & more energy piled on top. Merry-Go-Drown loves the stage and gives everything they have for every performance.

Merry-Go-Drown has had the privilege of sharing the stage with such acts as From Zero, 12 Stones, Twizted, Nothingface, Battle for Ozzfest bands CYN, Mantis, & A Dozen Furies. Also, Merry-Go-Drown has opened for Def Leppard at the UNO Lakefront Arena & opened for Disturbed & Blood Simple at the Pensacola Civic Center.
