Meryl Carter
A refreshing burst of style, vocal genius and pure grace is emerging in the form of 17 year-old Meryl Carter. With a voice that is both powerful soaring to notes familiar to Whitney and Celine - and soulful close your eyes and imagine the young Ella or Denise Williams, Meryl is poised to take the music industry by storm.
This beautiful, classically trained honor student has been singing since the ripe old age of three. Her accomplishments are numerous and include singing God Bless America for President Clinton; the National Anthem for Floridas Democratic Convention and selection in the prestigious Miami Dade County Schools Superintendents Honors Choir for four consecutive years. The honors dont stop there. Meryl has studied with the University of Miamis School of Music for six years, toured with the award winning Chambers Singers, the Southwood Middle School Chorus and performed at over 100 community events.
A diverse dynamo, Meryl confidently interprets gospel, Broadway, R & B and classical music and possesses the ability to sing and read music in several different languages. To see her live is a spiritual experience Meryls stage presence, vocal control and passion for her craft are evident to a listeners eyes, ears and soul.
As focused as Meryl is on her singing career, the young beauty understands the importance of balance. She spends quality time with family, enjoys reading novels, working out, and helping the community in any way she can.
Taking her talent to a national audience is the next logical step in this young singers blossoming career. Her first album was completed in three weeks under the tutelage of Executive Music Producer/A&R Sean (Due) Lashley of Melodic/Goodthyme entertainment inc. whose resume includes production credits on hits from E-40 to Jay-z, remixes and much more. Meryl the multi-talented Miamian is also planning to pursue a business degree.
