Biography

My music has rewarded me with some wonderful collaborations (Lisa de Kat, Peggi Speers, Linda Schneider, Aaron Blakeley, Rebecca June Parks, and more). I truly believe that a great song can defy genre and be released in a variety of productions. I enjoy this freedom in my writing from jazz, hip-hop, country, rock, pop, adult contemporary to classical.

I was raised in the classical realm, but was heavily influenced by Johnny Cash, Michel Sardou, Lennon and McCartney and countless others. Having grown up as an American abroad immersed in international collaborations, I developed a deep need to make a difference. I try to communicate what others may not be able to verbalize. If my music makes you think, I am happy.

Time To Let Go

Written By: Meryn Gruhn Di Tullio & Linda Schneider

TIME TO LET GO

Your Dad is moving out, Ma said on the phone
Can you please come home
My thoughts sped down that interstate
I was trying to find hope

I thanked God when I saw both cars there
Maybe things had changed
But Dad's usual smile was gone
He said, No one's to blame

Chorus:
You are the glue that held this home together
You are the ribbon that made this package shine
When you left, we tried to find each other
But instead, we found that it's TIME TO LET GO

Just inside the door Ma hugged me so tight
I pulled away
She could see I was upset
She said, It's okay

Your Dad and I wanted to raise you right
We tried our best
I don't know why we grew apart
But we have no regrets

Chorus

Bridge:
Their whole world revolved around me, and it's their turn now to fly
Happy ever after doesn't mean you never cry

Chorus 2:
You are the glue that held this home together
You are the ribbon that made this package shine
When I left, I hoped you'd find each other
But instead, I found that it's TIME TO LET GO

Outtro:
When I left I hoped you'd find each other
We hoped to find each other (2X)
I hoped you'd find each other
We tried to find each other (2X)
Instead we found it's TIME TO LET GO

Los Angeles

Written By: Meryn Gruhn Di Tullio & Linda Schneider

LOS ANGELES

Chorus:
LOS ANGELES
LOS ANGELES
If I had wings I'd fly to
LOS ANGELES

Across the red desert
Across las montanas
Someday I'll find a way
Estoy buscando el camino
El camino de nos suenos
Y ya me voy, y ya me voy

Chorus

To tell you I'm going
To tell you I'll return
Someday I'll find a way
Te doy mi promesa
Mi promesa que te quiero
Y ya me voy, y ya me voy

Chorus

Y ya me voy

Faith Walk

Written By: Meryn Gruhn Di Tullio & Peggi Speers

FAITH WALK

I'm at a crossroads
Soul-searching signs
I'm not looking back at this hard life
I'm leaving behind

I've got my faith
I hold my head high
I don't know where I'm going
What mountains I'll climb

Chorus:

But I'll be alright
I'll make it through
I know the sun will always shine
'Cause I walk with you
I won't give up now
I'll see it through
I'll simply close my eyes
And FAITH WALK with you

And when I fall down
Down to my knees
You pick me up so gently
And carry me

Chorus

I'll simply close my eyes
and FAITH WALK with you

Never Were

Written By: Meryn Gruhn Di Tullio

NEVER WERE

On the corner of our destinies
I'm standing up but I'm on my knees
In what could be the last leg of my life
In your bubble you fly by driving
You lock your door when we lock eyes and
I can't ignore what that does to my pride

I ain't looking for your time, just want a dime
A cup of coffee to feel fine
Deep inside it seems so shallow
So I try harder still to break the chill
Don't want your pity or your pill
You find so hard, so hard to swallow

Chorus:
And as I fade into a blur in your mirror
It'll be as if I NEVER WERE
And as I fade into your shadow
Yeah it'll be as if I NEVER WERE

Discarded trash is what you think I am
Baggage on the curb the garbage man
Missed on his mundane, Monday morning ride
Doesn't matter how I got here
Truth is from fear you'd rather hear
A lie behind which you can hide

I ain't looking for your time, just want a dime
A cup of coffee to feel fine
Deep inside it seems so shallow
So I try harder still to break the chill
Don't want your pity or your pill
You find so hard, so hard to swallow

Chorus

Bridge:
I am here, you can see me
I am here, you could be me

Chorus

What Is Night

Written By: Meryn Gruhn Di Tullio & Linda Schneider

WHAT IS NIGHT

WHAT IS NIGHT that when the sun sets
I forget my blessings and count my regrets
Refrain: Oh, WHAT IS NIGHT, oh WHAT IS NIGHT

Chorus:
WHAT IS NIGHT that brings shades of grey
To what's black in white in the light of day
WHAT IS NIGHT that I can't get through
A single hour without second thoughts of you
(Refrain)

WHAT IS NIGHT that this curtain of black
Gets my mind wandering and sets my heart back
(Refrain)

Chorus

Little Cowboy Dreams

Written By: Meryn Gruhn Di Tullio & Lisa de Kat

LITTLE COWBOY DREAMS

Tell me where my little cowboy is roving tonight
Are you travelling on the wild plains, the cattle a-keeping stride
Roping the longhorn, driving them dogies along the trail
I'll wait for you
'Neath the Big Sky

Chorus:
Sleep soundly roadrunner ranger
Mama's keeping watch tonight
Sleep, sleep, sleep, my little rambler
Mama's keeping watch over you

Tell me where my caballero is bound for tonight
Are you running through arroyos, or on top a mesa high
Sangre de Cristo
The sweet smell of sagebrush is all around
I'll wait for you
'Neath the red sky

Chorus

Tell me where my roaming pardner is sleeping tonight
Are you in a prairie schooner, a-circled around the fire
Tucked in the tallgrass, trusting the Evening Star as your guide
I'll wait for you
'Neath the dark sky

Chorus
