"MESS ANGER's Private Hell On Debut CD Release 'Black House Mess'"

MESS ANGER's Private Hell On Debut CD Release 'Black House Mess'
Hard hitting and intense enough to blast through tons of concrete and the local indie music scene,
there's a dark and heavy, hard charging and emotionally blistering mess happening in South Florida
these days--one that goth and heavy metal fans alike have no interest in cleaning up!
Miami-based glam/goth rocker Mess Anger (www.myspace.com/messangerrock,) is channeling his
deep seated frustrations with life into a dominant, crunch-guitar driven vibe. It's full of raw passion,
searing vocals and--on his highly anticipated debut album Black House Mess, due for release later
this spring--a twisted roller coaster of personal emotions, he says, "from my private hell."
The music is a sledgehammer in your face and for the wild at heart only, but a huge part of Mess'
dark, cutting edge appeal is visual. The camera loves his fashionable and mysterious, black on black
style.
A blazing swirl of crackling guitar fire, hard rhythms and melodic coolness, the first single "Angry Little
Angel" perfectly represents his uniquely eclectic songwriting influences, which range from his idol
Alice Cooper and Metallica to Ozzy Osbourne and Marilyn Manson. "Angry Little Angel," is going to
Active Rock radio starting in mid-April.
"I was going through one painful experience after another during the time I was writing the songs," he
adds. "I leave some things open to the listener's interpretation because I don't like to get overly
personal in explaining these situations, but suffice to say these things were crushing me. I was trying
to escape my emotional pain by letting these three and a half minute songs become catharsis for me.
Every time I perform these songs, I feel I'm capturing just what I went through and I am more and
more relieved. Funny thing is, being depressed is actually great for my songwriting because I get in
touch with those inner demons and find a way to let them out. It's like I'm possessed by something in
that magical moment, and it's an incredibly natural high."
With the release of Black House Mess, Mess Anger is looking forward to hitting the road and sharing
these exploding emotions with fans across the country. "It's great moving forward, living all of these
frustrations and then getting through them via the power of music," he says.

"Mess Anger explodes with incredible energy! New Album Black House Mess released!"

Well Known For His Explosive Performances Throughout Miami

And In New York and New Orleans, The Deeply Spiritual, Makeup Wearing

Singer/Songwriter Is About To Shoot A Video For “Angry Little Angel,”

The First Single Going To Active Rock Radio In Mid-April

Hard hitting and intense enough to blast through tons of concrete and the local indie music scene, there’s a dark and heavy, hard charging and emotionally blistering mess happening in South Florida these days—one that goth and heavy metal fans alike have no interest in cleaning up!

For the past few years, they’ve been in a delirious rage, connecting in a big way with Miami based glam/goth rocker Mess Änger (www.myspace.com/messangerrock,) who’s channeling his deep seated frustrations with life into a dominant, crunch-guitar driven vibe. It’s full of raw passion, searing vocals and—on his highly anticipated debut album Black House Mess, due for release later this spring—a twisted roller coaster of personal emotions, he says, “from my private hell.”

Everyone’s got the same deeply confused, livid look on their faces these days, but the black haired, heavily made up Mess Anger’s chosen to be the guy up there giving voice and catharsis to a generation trying to find its spiritual bearings somewhere between the darkness and light. For the past few years, he’s been blowing the lid off Miami hotspots like Churchill’s Pub (“This is our CBGB’s,” he laughs) and the legendary Tobacco Road.

Last summer, he and his ball-busting bandmates Mizzin Lynk (guitars), Edward Ona (bass) and “Spyder Monky” (drums) jammed at the Rockin’ Miami Festival at Miami Arena, and the singer-songwriter’s also made a “Mess” up in New York in The Red Room, Antigua in Queens and One Eyed Jacks in the East Village. The past two years, Mess Änger has performed at the well-known Cutting Edge Music Conference in New Orleans. He’s currently gearing up to headline more shows in Orlando and Tampa before doing showcases in New York and L.A. leading up to a summer tour.

The music is a sledgehammer in your face and for the wild at heart only, but a huge part of Mess’ dark, cutting edge appeal is visual. The camera loves his fashionable and mysterious, black on black style, and he’s about to shoot a video for “Angry Little Angel,” the first single from Black House Mess that’s going to Active Rock radio starting in mid-April.

A blazing swirl of crackling guitar fire, hard rhythms and melodic coolness, “Angry Little Angel” perfectly represents his uniquely eclectic songwriting influences, which range from his idol Alice Cooper and Metallica to Ozzy Osbourne and Marilyn Manson. As guitar-centric as Mess’ tracks are, the multi-faceted musician initially funnels his boiling thoughts while pounding at the piano. The track is about a confused woman with a past that probably includes being left at the altar; now she’s a nun in the convent by day, a sexy vampire girl going out on the town at night.

“When you listen to Black House Mess, you have to be careful because the overall melodic rock sensibilities of that song only last a short time,” he says. “The listener’s taking a little trip from soft to hard, and the poppy vibe of that song gives way to a visit to the private hell of my inner psyche on ‘What Are You Looking For,’ where I’m asking everyone from a little kid to the devil to a priest to try to make sense of my life. It’s got this 60’s go-go groove underneath the layers of guitars. But then the sweetness is gone and I’m kicking down the door and getting right up in your face, going wild on ‘Voodoo Doll.’ This one’s a time traveling, out of body experience taking myself back hundreds of years to when folks would sit around by the fire dancing with drums and adoring their gods. It’s all about wanting to take the person out of the pain of the moment, so it’s really one of the most intense hardcore tracks on the album.

“I was going through one painful experience after another during the time I was writing the songs,” he adds. “I leave some things open to the listener’s interpretation because I don’t like to get overly personal in explaining these situations, but suffice to say these things were crushing me. I was trying to escape my emotional pain by letting these three and a half minute songs become catharsis for me. Every time I perform these songs, I feel I’m capturing just what I went through and I am more and more relieved. Funny thing is, being depressed is actually great for my songwriting because I get in touch with those inner demons and find a way to let them out. It’s like I’m possessed by something in that magical moment, and it’s an incredibly natural high.”

“I’ve spent my life questioning everything and no matter how much I learn about myself and the world, I’m never satisfied,” Mess Änger says. “I’m that total Bohemian party animal that loves to go out - Steve Levesque (Luck Media)

Makeup Wearing Warrior Puts South Florida Back On The Raging Hard Rock Map

Back in the early to mid-90s, South Florida was rockin’ heavy with the rage of Marilyn Manson & The Spooky Kids, a vibe that ultimately infected the whole Sunshine State as bands like Creed, Matchbox Twenty and underground favorites The Genitorturers were making waves.

The scene around Miami has been kinda tame on the rock side in the 2000s with the dominance of dance, Latin and reggaeton music, but glam/goth rocker MESS ÄNGER (www.myspace.com/messangerrock,) is blasting through the fluff with a cathartic tour through the darkness on his mission to “put a nice big scar” on the map of the Southeastern U.S. Well known already for his explosive performances throughout Miami and in New York and New Orleans, the deeply spiritual, makeup wearing singer/songwriter—whose debut album Black House Mess is set for an August release--now has another secret weapon at his disposal: guitarist Scott Putesky, aka Daisy Berkowitz, founding guitarist of Marilyn Manson who left that band under mysterious circumstances during the recording of the famed Antichrist Superstar album.

If anyone can give Florida rock a much needed resurrection, it’s the combination of the blistering newcomer Mess and the legendary rocker named after Daisy Duke and serial killer David Berkowitz. Mess is currently enjoying significant success on Active Rock radio stations across the U.S. with his hard-charging debut single “Angry Little Angel”; the song’s video is a popular view on his myspace page as well.

Putesky makes his debut with MESS ÄNGER's band, which also includes longtime members Edward Ona (bass) and Spyder Monky (drums) on Thursday, May 22 at Arlene’s Grocery in New York City. The Arlene's Grocery showcase will be streamed live at www.musikville.com on May 22 at 11PM ET. They’re also scheduled to play Miami’s Cultura Festival on May 30.

In 2004, Putesky caused a stir when he released Lunch Boxes & Choklit Cows, a collection of early Spooky Kids recordings he won the rights to after a much publicized lawsuit he won against former partner in crime Marilyn Manson. The recording was released by Empire MusicWerks/Universal.

“This is a good chance for Daisy and I to help each other and bring South Florida back into the game,” says Mess. “We met through my manager John Tovar who used to manage Marilyn Manson & The Spooky Kids back in the day. I’d been auditioning a series of psycho guitar players with no luck and was excited that he wanted to join us and play some jamming stuff. I thought I was going to be overpowered by his presence, but he’s just a mellow, nice guy under that hard image. Together, we want to bring back rock the way it used to be, and win over kids who can appreciate real music and not just what the major labels tell them is cool.” - Luck Media and marketing

"Monster of Loch Mess by Mess Anger"

Listening to “Monster of Löch Mess” is like taking a fast and crazy course in heavy metal-glam music but sung in Spanish and English. Each song of Mess Anger offers a different state of mind that rocks you quickly. This artist born in Guatemala explores the dark side of the world mixing story-telling lyrics with so intense poetic feelings. In the soft song “To see a Rainbow,” he captures the attention of sensible audiences while singing: “Listen to the thunder, See the lightning inside, we know it isn’t a bad sign when there’s clouds in the sky…”

However, the CD gives us other songs as “I’m a Mess” and “Angry Little Angel”. In all these cases, Mess Anger continues his musical experimentation but he pushes his sound in a slightly more potential classic rock direction. After all, Mr. Anger is a rock and roll animal.

In addition to the music, “Monster of Löch Mess” also contains a DVD with “making of” footage from the artist’s videos “Angel Extraviado,” “Niños de la Noche,” “I’m a Mess” and “Angry Little Angel.” and more features.

Both the English and Spanish versions of his first single “Angry Little Angel,” are already receiving airplay on major radio stations and music video channels across the Americas. “Monster of Löch Mess” was recorded in the legendary studios of Hit Factory, Crescent Moon, and Circle House in Miami, and the mastering was completed at Sterling Sound Studios in New York. Änger worked with renowned sound engineers George Marino (Aerosmith, Ozzy Osborne, Metallica, Guns and Roses, Alanis Morisette, Mötley Crüe, KISS, Alice Cooper and Jon Bon Jovi), Bob St John (Extreme Collective Soul and Nuno Betancourt), Mike Couzzi (Mark Anthony, Gloria Estefan and Shakira) in order to turn his artistic concept into a well-balanced signature sound.

Mess Änger’s latest performances have included shows throughout the United States as the Latino Heritage Festival in Indianapolis, Hard Rock Cafés, major South Florida music events like Rock en Miami and the Argentinean Festival, The Factory, the legendaries Tobacco Road and Churchill’s, and Miami’s now defunct Billboard Live. - Martin Goodbaum, www.FABRIKA.info

Nobody can say that I’m not heavy or that I’m not emotional or not melodic, I have everything I need to inflict a big scar in music history as the biggest Rock Star of the 21st. century and with the addition of my friend Shiva Lingham on guitar it is only going to get deeper and more infectious”
