Phiko Pambili Lakhle Mpeta (Born 10 May 1993), known professionally as Messville is a South African recording artist, record producer, and sound engineer.
After releasing his first official single and music video, Keep it going, the song landed him a sync license deal with SABC 1 for an action movies promo which featured the movies; Superfly, Bangkok Dangerous, True to the game, and Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit. Messville also just recently bagged the Standard Bank #Beunbxd competition for aspiring producers.
His effortless and smooth delivery gives his music an up-tempo vibe, whilst he is conscious with his lyrics coupled with a flow that puts you in a melodic groove. Messville fuses old-school rap elements with a new current hip-hop sound he pioneered, introducing sound textures and elements that will give listeners a sonic adventure as they journey with him in the music. He talks about relatable things that he's experienced in life in his music. It's honest, fearless, emotional, and inspirational.
Messville is set to release his first official EP on the 9th of September.

At the age of 9, Messville had a deep passion for music recording and production. Growing up he was heavily into soul & Kwaito music.
His music can be described as heartfelt stories that take your mind through a journey of deep introspection, while contrasted with infectious beats and hooks that keep the listener coming back for more, accommodating all age groups.
For Messvile, music flows through him and manifests itself as a scrapbook. It serves as a journal of all the interactions he’s had with people, moments he’s experienced by himself, and all the feelings associated with all the experiences life has thrown his way.
After years of sharpening his production & engineering skills, producing other upcoming artists, and doing audio for TV, in 2020 he transitioned to being his own producer.
2022 looks set to be a busy year for Messvile as he prepares his EP for release on the 9th of September. Keep an ear to the ground for more information.
