Mestiza features the original repertoire of Lina G Torio (Luna). Dropping a hard hitting live show inspired by Oakland's rich history of soul, funk and a vibrant Latin music scene, Mestiza is a mix of Latin, soul, rock and urban funk.

Lina G Torio, currently of Rumbache and La Familia Son introduces Mestiza her solo project Fall '09. Torio has been a founder of multiple bands from the bay area to Boston, including solo projects SoluvI (SF‘96) and Voz y Timba (Boston’98).
Working in the music community as a featured singer with a range of groups such as Boogie Shack Music (‘96) Grupo Paule (‘01), Prophets of Rage (‘02), Cacique y Congo (‘02), Son Borikua (‘03) Los Boleros, Tito y su Son (‘05), La Familia Son (’03-‘07) and Rumbache(’03-‘09), Torio has been blessed to work in both folkloric and contemporary music circles, writing original music across many genres.
