A metaphor is a figure of speech...Meta Cuatro (Meta-4), is a Figure..of Speech!

Nice guys finish last; this expression must have been the alarm that awoke the hibernating Meta Cuatro because he is on a relentless pursuit to prove the hunger in him isn’t extinct. With several mixtapes under his belt, DVD appearances, endless performances to an appearance on BET’s 106 & Park's Freestyle Friday in 2006, everything Meta has done seems to have fallen below the radar to some. However, while behind the scenes working and developing as an artist and writer, Meta is back on track to being a platinum-selling artist with now adding acting in the mix. Undoubtedly having his work cut out for him, by Meta taking the time in the past to build a fan base rather than just generating a buzz gives him a solid foundation to move forward with.

Hailing from the projects of Asbury Park, NJ and the fast city-life in Brooklyn, NY; Meta was forced to adapt to two very different lifestyles. "My mom and pops were separated. For the most part I lived with my two sisters, two cousins, and my mom in the projects on low income. My pops lived in New York with a good job. So it was crazy buying new Jordan's and $300 jeans every month when my father took me shopping to go home to an empty refrigerator at my mother's house."

Evidently, witnessing the "hood life" and the "good life" is what fueled Meta Cuatro to finally wake up and put his worldwide dominance plan into action. He is aware that time is ticking but more importantly understands that every move must be carefully thought out like a professional chess player. The first order of business is his introduction to the world with a much needed mixtape entitled "Don't Sign Me!" This bold statement alone raises eyebrows along with the fact that he's delivering great, timeless songs that many music lovers are going to appreciate. He takes you on a journey through his flamboyant lifestyle that can motivate the laziest person. What's also intriguing is how lyrical he is without being preachy which could build him a fan base of today's common listener with the takeover of catchy music overshadowing the airwaves. Realizing that he cannot please everyone and doesn't intend to, he focuses solely on getting his take of the world across to anyone who appreciates real music.

"Some parts of my personal story have been told by a few rappers before me because most of us come from similar circumstances: Living in the projects, being forced to hustle, fights and shootouts, family issues, relationships, etc. However, every significant event of my life is part of a story that hasn't been heard and can't be told by anybody but me." This untold story that has an interesting plot and many chapters also contains several twists with one surfacing from the fact that the raw lyrics that are directly inspired by his life experiences don’t match his clean-cut supermodel image. To add more to the great paradox is the fact that he is a Top 40 style R&B and Pop songwriter when he does not even know how to sing himself. These gifts as he calls them can be placed around the tree of other talents such as being an actor, producer, business savvy entrepreneur, and the brains of the concepts behind various projects with his name on it.

With several projects to look out for from music to a feature film, it's safe to say that the entertainment world has a new face to be fond of. Meticulous with his image, production, and being selective of whose "camera he's being filmed on" is what's going to help music consumers accept the brand of Meta Cuatro.
