Bio
When Chaz was 4, his dad set up ACID Pro 2 on his computer. He used loops to make ultra-repetitive alternative rock tunes and he would sing on top of them. His step-dad was a hip-hop producer and Chaz grew up with a recording studio in his basement, something he would take advantage of. Chaz started off as a singer and songwriter when he was way younger, but the fact is... he wasn't a very good singer. Chaz then got a newer version of ACID, and with the help of one of his mom's friends' brothers, K-rAd, a well-respected electronic musician and sound engineer, Chaz entered the world of electronic music as Metallic Ghosts at age 10.
Since then, Chaz has upgraded from using purely Sony Acid to using Ableton Live 8. He creates soundscapes to match the wacky samples and funky loops he uses.
Metallic Ghosts is heavily influenced by Chicago house music,such as Frankie Knuckles and Felix da Housecat instrumental and avant-garde hip-hop such as Flying Lotus, Madlib, and Rob the Viking.
