"Metavenge makes its move"

“I couldn’t believe they were writing these six- and seven-minute songs,” Kelli says. “I really see them introducing the old-school, speed-metal type of stuff to the younger generation. And I think it’s time because they need somebody new instead of just going to see Metallica or Testament or Slayer. - Houston Chronicle

"New songs from Metavenge"

Metavenge are a gaggle of teenagers in faded Slayer shirts from the Friendswood/Alvin area, but they sound like they opened for Metallica on the Ride The Lightning tour. Ever since we first heard them back in the fall, we have been blasting "Time To Kill" on our iPod as we foolishly attempt to run at the gym. - Houston Press

"IS IT REALLY NATIONAL METAL DAY?"

Houston band Metavenge, however, is using the marker as it was intended -- as a savvy promotional tool. The band has given us, and you, free downloads of its original tracks. Several were produced by Kerri Kelli, who has worked with Alice Cooper, Saints of the Underground, Slash's Snakepit, Adler’s Appetite, Vince Neil and Skid Row. - 29-95/Houston Chronicle

"Metavenge Plays at SXSW 2010"

“Their music is very reminiscent of Anthrax and old Slayer, which is not a bad thing. In fact, it's refreshing compared to most of what is on the radio; offering elements of punk as well as metal in a frenzy of activity and energy.” - Yahoo!
