Band Biography:
Four musicians with over eighty years of
combined experience bring unique styles to the band
from Be Bop, Latin, Cajun, and New Age. Guaranteed to
satisfy people of all ages

Instrumental line up includes Guitar, Bass, Woodwinds,
and Percussion. The set-up is designed to fit any space no
matter how large or small. Get the sound of a six-piece
band for the price of a four-piece.

Their performances have ranged from club dates, private
parties, special events, and holiday festivities. Whether
it is formal or casual, you will find Metro Quest will meet
your entertainment needs.

Randy Hunter(Sax/woodwinds):Randy is a professional saxophonist, educator and author living in the Atlanta area. He is currently the the Jazz Saxophone Instructor holding the position of Artist Affiliate in Jazz Saxophone at Emory University in Atlanta.
His Complete Jazz Styles etude, duet and combo books are widely used throughout the US,
Europe and Canada. Books from this series have received endorsements from a number of well
known jazz artists including Joe Lovano, Randy Brecker, Bobby Shew, and John Fedchock.
In the spring of 2008, Randy released a new addition to his educational series of jazz method
books. Level Three; Jazz Etudes for Saxophone rounds out his series, providing instructional
material for students of jazz and improvisation at all levels.
Randy performs regularly in the Atlanta area and is in constant demand as a jazz, rock and funk
saxophonist. He also maintains private lesson studios in the North Atlanta area while focusing
his efforts on creating educational material designed to introduce students to jazz.

Guy Fenocchi(Guitars): Guy is a professional guitarist, and guitar / bass instructor originally
from central New York. He holds an Associate’s degree in classical guitar from Onondaga
Community College, and a Bachelor’s degree in Jazz Studies from Ithaca College.
As a music educator Guy has 19 years of teaching experience varying from private instruction to
Classroom situations. He has also been involved with Day Jams summer camp ’06’, and codirector
for Camp jam ‘07‘. Guy’s publications include co-author for “Set The Stage” jazz combo
series by Randy Hunter.
Currently he is teaching at Greater Atlanta Christian School in the Music Enrichment Program,
and is involved with Watch & Learn on-line Guitar Instruction, and has over 60 instructional
videos.
As a performer has toured throughout the East Coast and Canada with various groups and
performers. Artist include The Drifters, Clarence Clemons Big Bill Morganfield the son of
Muddy Waters and many others. He has also appeared in the Stan Rogers folk fest, North
Atlantic Blues Festival, Syracuse, Atlanta, and Montreal Jazz Festivals. Guy currently performs
in the Atlanta area as a solo Guitarist, and with recording Jazz group Metro Quest.

John Hooper(Bass):In Hawaii played with many local acts including Hawaii's premier
Jazz/Classical Pianist Rene Paulo who also played host to: Richard Page (Pages/Mr.Mr.),
Stephan Stills (Crosby Stills & Nash), Mike White (drums;Al Jarreau), Michael Paulo
(saxophone:Al Jarreau), Kimo Cornwell (keyboards:Hiroshima), Armando Peraza
(percussion:Santana), Bobby Enriquez (jazz pianist).
In Los Angeles played/jammed around the area with Chuck Berry, Jim Keltner, Frank Riccard,
Albert Lee. Shared the stage with Jon Anderson, Jo-El Sonnier, Jack Mac and the Heart
Attack,and Steve Wariner.
In Atlanta, played with local bands The Thunder Thieves, Say What, The League Of Decency &
blues guitarist Wayne "Bear" Sauls (of Eric Quincy Tate fame).

Tim Nash(Drums/Percussion):Originally from "Music City U.S.A.," Nashville, Tennessee, Tim
began experimenting with percussion instruments at an early age. Influences range from James
Brown to "Weather Report," Tony Williams, Jack DeJohnette, Steve Gadd, Peter Esrskine,
"Bruford" and Bozzio to name a few. A founding member of Atlanta based band "The Bazooka
Ants," Nash has performed or recorded with such groups as "Night Passage," "The Thunder
Thieves," Sinclaire Pickney of James Brown fame, Francine Reed and many others. Tim
currently holds the drum chair with well-known Atlanta band, "The League of Decency." Career
highlights include performing at the Rams Super bowl celebration party and entertaining CBS
executives at the Super bowl in Tampa, Florida.
