Metro West Thump is a new contemporary jazz group based in the Greater Boston area. The main focus of the band is to create original material that appeals to a wide fan base without compromising artistic integrity.The band has been performing in the Greater Boston area since 2010.

Biography

Bill Fanning (trumpet) has performed with such artists as Bruce Springsteen, Glen Fry, Bela Fleck, Jeff Coffin and Sheryl Crow. In addition to a busy touring and performance schedule, Bill is an in demand clinician at local colleges and high schools. Pete Levesque (Sax) has performed with such artists as J. Geils, Frankie Vallie, The Temptations, and Jerry Bergonzi. Pete has recorded countless albums with Gospel artist and producer Jessie Gonzalez. Pete’s original compositions are inspired by a diverse range of artists. He currently resides in Worcester Ma where he works as a freelance musician and music educator.

Mike Casano (drums) has performed with such artists as The Drifters, R&B legend Ellis Hall and George Garzone. Mike has performed at several of New England’s finest venues including Patriot Place at Gillette Stadium and Foxwoods. For more info visit Mike at:

Tim Ray is one of New England’s most in demand keyboard players. He has performed with such artists as Aretha Franklin, Bonnie Raitt and was the musical director for Lyle Lovett. Tim has performed many times on Late Night with David Letterman and The Tonight Show. Tim is currently on the faculty at New England Conservatory of Music. For more info visit Tim at:

Bill Miele toured extensively all over the United States and Europe. He is a longtime member of New England’s premier big band; The John Almark Jazz Orchestra. Bill has recorded with Greg Abate, Dan Moretti and Mark White. Bill is currently on the faculty of The Rhode Island Philharmonic Music School and Providence College
