Mezzanine

Mezzanine

BandRockAlternative

Its not everyday a band comes along without the need to be a niche or fighting for a corner. Mezzanine stand strong in the middle of the room playing balls to the wall rock music. With a knack for melody and rhythm, Mezzanine are a band to look out for.

Biography

Channeling the ghost of a time when rock was straight up and actually meant something, Mezzanine have an attitude that pretension dares not fondle. They energise and humanise the Perth music landscape with power chords and passion, drawing teeth from the likes of Thurston Moore, Anton Newcombe and Stephen Morrissey. A self professed loud and energetic combo, they play each show like their lives depend on it.

Mezzanine released their critically acclaimed debut EP "Novella" in July 2011 on Gun Fever via Firestarter distribution. The EP was launched to a capacity crowd at The Bird in Northbridge and the band have since been turning heads on the live circuit, playing shows with the likes of Sons Of Rico, Emperors and Russian Winters.

Lyrics

Mannequin Man

Written By: C. Rist / D. Jago / R. Robinson / O. James

So nice to meet you
Your eyes are see through
Imagination now

Travelled for so long
Only packed one arm

I'm in love with the mannequin man
One look and I'm plasticine
My friends, they don't understand
My love for the mannequin man

How do they treat you
When no one sees you
The window is empty now

No one cares but me
You're my Christmas tree

I'm in love with the mannequin man
One look and I'm plasticine
My friends, they don't understand
My love for the mannequin man
