Bio
Matt Fisher is a singer/songwriter carrying on the tradition of being a traveling troubadour. His first release “The Clock Doesn’t Stop,” is a 10 song rocker with a few tunes that lay on the acoustic side. After releasing the 2006 album "The Clock Doesn’t Stop,” Fisher performed across the mid-Atlantic and North Eastern parts of the U.S. with then backing band the Telephone Junkies.
In 2007 Fisher ended up taking a role as sideman touring the U.S., however, after years of being a sideman Fisher longed to be performing his songs again. But with a more refined road-tested touch to his singing and guitar playing he found that being backed by a rhythm section and wall of amps no longer suited the way he wanted to present songs. Though Fisher still found time to record and release two E.Ps in 2007 and 2010, he was still working as a sideman and there wasn’t much opportunity to promote them. So in 2012 he compiled them along with a new song for his 2012 self-titled release. “This grouping of songs is a little more reflective of where I’m at now,” says Fisher.
When performing, despite the lack of instruments, there is no lack of sound. Although his records may have a full-band arrangements to complement the songs when performing live. Fisher has a knack for making his voice and guitar fill up a room leaving and audience as entertained and energized as a full band.
