Bio

MFSB BIO
MFSB is the famous Philadelphia International Records band that ruled Dance and R&B music, worldwide, in the 1970's. Together again, showcasing a few new members (for a contemporary appeal) and a few old-school members (for that Very Special feel), the new MFSB retained, and then expanded the hard driving orchestra sound that made them so popular to start with.
MFSB members have recorded and performed with more top-level acts than any group in history. Their understanding of entertainment is unique and special. They come to every engagement with their audience in mind. They come to get the people involved; clapping, dancing, laughing, and just having a great time. The MFSB specialty is getting all the people "in the zone."
After scoring countless Gold and Platinum albums with the Sound of Philadelphia, MFSB went to Detroit in 2003 and resurrected Motown's Funk Brothers. Carla Benson, Keith Benson, Jon Ingram and Mike Clark were featured in the Grammy Award-Winning film, "Standing in the Shadows of Motown," and they toured with the Funk Brothers. Keith Benson was also one of the Producers of the Film.
MFSB is as current today as they were in the 70's. Smash Hit television shows like Donald Trump's "Apprentice" use their music (for the Love of Money). They are one of the hottest groups on Madison Avenue. Countless major national television commercials, advertising everything from beer (Love Train) to trucks (I’ll Be Around) use their music. And Hollywood is always using MFSB music for movies.
