"What I love about Mia..."

“…Just like her song “I’m a lot like me” says, she’s been trying to find out who she is with her music, and she has… she just has a very special style… very Mia Silvas-y, and I love that!”
Tony Moore – The Regal Room

Bio

A London based singer/ songwriter, Mia grew up between the UK and New Zealand surrounded by music - mainly her sister Lucie persuading her and her other sister Nikki to join in with nightly musical performances for family and friends.

Having started out her professional music career as a session vocalist/ percussionist, Mia has performed all over the UK and Europe with a diverse range of artists including her sister Lucie Silvas, the legendary Judie Tzuke, Beulah and more recently Karen Louise, to name but a few.

Now, after taking a little time off to concentrate on her own music, Mia has produced a collection of beautiful songs with a light-hearted, jazz/ folk feel.

Some would describe Mia as a cross between Eva Cassidy and Jack Johnson; smooth vocals combined with an upbeat and quirky guitar-driven style, her songs are guaranteed to bring a smile to your face.

Mia is currently working on her debut album "I'm a lot like me", and is continuing to showcase her music around the UK and Europe including venues such as The Bedford, The Regal Room, The Cobden Club, The Norwich Arts Centre and Bush Hall.
