"Micah Kiyo"

Biography
When 18 year-old Micah Kiyo walks into the room, the atmosphere becomes ethereal. Her bright eyes barely contain her infectious joy and her dancing eyes make you want to hear the music she’s obviously hearing in her head. You want to see what she’s got. And she’s got a lot.

In fact, she’s got IT.

Micah Kiyo is poised to be this generation’s Janet Jackson, but with her
own flavor, and with a work ethic that underscores her Asian and African-American lineage. She aptly coins the phrase, Urban Pop in describing her music style during her performance. Her energy level resonates with every note she sings and when she dances onstage, you can feel the electricity throughout the room. In case you’re tempted to relegate her to being just another beautiful girl who can sing, her performance style adds a level of entertainment value the music industry hasn’t seen since, well,
Janet Jackson.

Her talent is authentic, almost inevitable. Her father is Broadway actor, singer, dancer Abe Clark (Dream Girls, Jelly’s Last Jam, Five Guys Named Moe) and Micah has been performing since she was seven years old. Her sense of focus has grown along with her skills, and she’s now as comfortable on stage as she is at home in her family kitchen.

Micah’s personality is a smooth blend of innocence and enthusiasm. Her sense of humor comes through during her performances, especially when she gives homage to her role models “Miss Jackson” and Dionne Warwick. Like the true entertainer she is, Micah keeps the audience engaged throughout her performances with her interactive dance routines and delightful play
with the crowd. Her concert performance will be well worth the price of
admission. Go see her now, while tickets are affordable. You’ll get to say
“I saw her when...”

Her professional team consists of choreographer/staging director Tamara Whitehead (Missy Elliot, Mary J. Blige, Gina Thompson, Case and Puffy), vocal coach, Tony-award winner Adrienne Lenox, (Doubt, The Color Purple,
Dreamgirls), and songwriting partners Matthew Johnson (India Arie),
Ayanna, and Double Edge Productions. Her career is under the leadership
of SALT Management, who has developed and guided her for the past three
years in writing/recording sessions and in a series of performances
throughout Atlanta and New York.
