Bio
A native of Raleigh, North Carolina, music has been in Micah’s blood since an early age. His parents pushed both he and his twin brother to get involved with music early on. His mother worked hard for the non-profit Habitat for Humanity and encouraged her children to get involved in affordable activities, which led him to music. He credits his parents for his passion for music, which was critical in Micah’s journey in becoming an accomplished instrumentalist. Throughout the years, Micah has learned to play the violin, conga drums, saxophone, acoustic guitar, and more. Growing up, he also honed his vocal abilities while singing in school and show choirs, in addition to competing in school band competitions.
In 2014, Micah relocated to the Bay Area to pursue his passion in music and chase his dreams of becoming a recording artist. His first single and subsequent two EPs were recorded in Las Vegas. His first single, “Champagne,” dropped in 2015, and since then, Micah hasn’t looked back.
With his smooth R&B style infused with elements of hip-hop and pop, Micah’s music appeals to a wide range of fans. His musical influences include Michael Jackson, Usher, Trey Songz, The Weeknd, The Counting Crows, Tracy Chapman, Childish Gambino, and Jason Derulo. His music has been praised as smooth and soulful with an old-school vibe that fans across a multitude of genres can enjoy.
