Mic-check

Mic-check (born Michael Crocker) is one of Atlanta’s top independent hip-hop artist. Mike flows with a lyrical style that is rarely found in any hip-hop artist regardless of their professional status. The 26 year old artist was born and raised in Atlanta, GA, where he developed the love of music through listening to his favorite artist, NWA, Tupac, Biggie, Redman, etc. Not knowing that hip-hop would ultimately be his destiny. Mike started writing rhymes at age 10, mimicking his favorite rappers. Through this he developed his own style and discovered his talent in writing, which became an outlet for his innermost feelings and thoughts. Mic-check started his professional career in music industry writing for himself and local groups at age 16. To his credit he has been listed among the greats on various mixtapes in the Southeastern region as well as the West coast. He released his own mixtape Monopoly in 2004 and it is still blazing the streets of the Atl. Mic-check is definitely the future of hip-hop. Look for his debut album in stores 2008.
