Bio
For over twenty years Michael Fracasso has been considered one of Austin's finest singers and songwriters. On his splendid 1992 debut, "Love and Trust" Michael displayed a keen sense for both rock and country sensibilities, all the while never wearing his influences on his sleeve. That album was highlighted by a great duet with Lucinda Williams on "Door No. 1," a stone cold country classic ala George Jones and Tammy Waynette. But Michael isn't a country artist as his upcoming "Here Comes The Savages" so deftly illustrates. It's like a long lost Beatles or Nilsson record, continuing Fracasso's run of great albums with songs that never repeat themselves. He has also worked with Charlie Sexton ( Live From The Blue Door, World In A Drop Of Water) and Patty Griffin ( background on several songs and duets with Michael on the Saint Monday record) and many great Austin musicians including Ian "Mac" McLagan, George Reiff, Mark Patterson, Mike Hardwick and Scrappy Jud Newcomb.
