Bio
American roots musician Michael Francis McCarthy was born in South America and has roamed the western hemisphere for a decade absorbing regional roots influences and playing thousands of shows, from the concrete jungles of the northeast to the back roads of the deep south and all points in between. Combining Delta blues, bluegrass, traditional folk, early country, 70s jam, thrash metal and Bolivian folklore influences, McCarthy's live sets feature rich acoustic guitar work, powerful vocals and a thoughtful blend of original compositions and carefully-selected "deep cuts" covers.
