"Michael George's songs are a publisher's dream..."

Bob Roper
Former President A&R
Warner-Chappell

I very much enjoyed Michael's singing.A real talent whom I think will go far!

Doug Kirby
CEO Live Tour Artists

MICHAEL GEORGE TESTIMONIALS

"...was VERY IMPRESSED with Michael's songwriting and his vocals...it was not only refreshing to listen to,it was THRILLING!

Debora Nortman
President
ABACA Entertainment Group

Michael was only a few lines into one of his original creations, and you could have heard a pin drop...by the end of the song, there was barely a dry eye in the crowded room...
Michael's music and lyrics have the rare ability to stop you dead in your tracks...

Pat Graham
Owner,Video Creations

Not surprisingly for those who have seen Michael George before,it was his smokey sexy vocals that stole the show! That being said,Michael is a virtuoso guitar player, whose acoustic leads are frequently dazzling. It's a shame guitar athletes like Yngwe Malmsteen and Steve Vai were not in attendance, because afterr hearing George, those two might have been prepared to put aside their numbing pyrotechnics.

Mike Depew
The Nomad (St. Lawrence College)

We asked Michael to write a song commemorating the Fort Henry National Historic Site on it's 60th anniversary as a public museum...the song was written with incredible sensitivity and pride...Michael's performance of the song received an enthusiastic standing ovation by the crowd of approximately 5000 people!

I have also been priviledged to preview 2 tracks from Michael's debut C.D.,and one in particular moved me to tears.

"Kingston Whig Standard"

I want to add my name to the growing list of those who are inspired by Michael's music. While every song on his upcoming CD is worthy of fame and fortune, the one that really jumps out at me,the one that I quite literally can't get out of my head is "Out of the Blue" (Could this be love?)
To me,the lyrics tell a timeless story in a new and authentic way (no small feat in the realm of popular music!).It is about as perfect as any musical performance ever gets!
As I suspected the first time I heard Michael play,I consider him to be one of Canada's top solo artists.I look to Michael's continued success, which at this point seems irreversible!

"Broadjam"

Michael

Thanks for the note.
The Dallas Songwriters Association sent 29 songs to listen to. Although I listen to the entire list 5 - 10 times, I was almost certain you had the winner after the first time through. It's a timeless song and a great performance as well. It really stood out.

Send me your cd upon completion and I'll listen to it. If I can connect you, I will.

Keep up the great work and keep me posted on your progress.

"Kingston Life Magazine"

...Michael George may soon follow in the footsteps of "The Tragically Hip" and "Sarah Harmer"...

...Canadian Tenor John McDermott,in town for a show at the Grand Theatre, chanced to hear Michael perform "The Miracle",and afterward inquired about the tune.A few weeks later, after having checked out the cd of original music George had sent to him,McDermott called to say he would like to perform "The Miracle' on his own new cd.What's more,McDermott invited George to record on his own label and offered to help promote his music...

...Coincidentally,Cliff Fabri, the "Super" manager who launched the career of Napanee born Avril Lavigne began to take an interest in George's songs after hearing a soulful tune called "Here's To Love".Fabri,CEO of Romanline Productions, has succeeded in getting his newest artist Samantha Moore signed to Geffen with a 1.8 million dollar contract, and Fabri intends to include George's "Here's To Love" on her debut record... - Osprey Media

"Hoping For A Miracle"

...His CD,"The Miracle",is a smooth mixture of pop-rock,featuring tuneful songs aboutand from the heart, along with George's gruff but pleasant vocals...

...that's how George's song "Here's To Love" came to be the Grand Prize winner at the 2006 Dallas Songwriting Competition. The song also won first place in the singer songwriter category, while another one,"She's Too Good For Me" won first place in the rock pop alternative category...

...with "Here's To Love",George tries to take a realistic look at the notion of world peace."I did not want to be judgemental or lecturing" he says."In the song I ask,are we ever going to have peace,or is this just the way we are? I think we will always have war, because we are human, but it can get better by helping out more with things like foreign aid"...

..."One night I was playing for a bunch of soldiers from Fort Drum...I said I had a song that honoured soldiers like them.I sang The Miracle for them. They were a pretty rambunctious group, but by the end of the song, many had tears streaming down their faces.I had to play the song eight times that night! There is no glory in war..."

George has recruited some top flight musicians to join local artists on stage. They include Gary Breit (Bryan Adams),Peter Fredette (Kim Mitchell),Jamie Oakes (Tom Cochrane) and Steve O'Conner (Holly Cole)... - Southam - Greg Burliuk
