Michael and the Wild Roses is the project of Singer/Songwriter Michael Mirra. His songs have been described as ones you sing with your friends, arms around one another, while walking home from the bar. He makes intimate lo-fi songs that blend acoustic and electronic elements.
Before creating the Wild Roses Michael contributed Your Protector to the Fleet Foxes tribute album Fleet Foxes At Ease. After hearing his contribution Fleet Foxes front man Robin Pecknold complimented Michael on his voice and ability to create unique guitar sounds.
2013 saw the creation of Michael and the Wild Roses and the release of the American Matador EP on Mystical Records. It was met with much acclaim.
