Michael Blayze

I'm a 20 year old musician living and working out of New York. I've been doing music, in it's entirety, for two years now and I released a mixtape back in December of 2010 featured on a number of different music hosting websites and music blogs alike.

My sound has hip-hop tendencies but is a lot more eclectic because of my childhood growing up on R&B, pop, and old school/indie rock. I classify myself as alternative hip-hop in the end. I don't consider myself an "emcee" because it's an awfully limiting title. As I'm growing in experience and talent, the word "artist" is an all encompassing title that will allow me to conduct myself in whatever direction I wish to take my music.

My variety in taste is what contributes to an open minded behavior in my sound. I draw influences from Outkast, Linkin Park, MF DOOM, Aesop Rock, Nujabes, FORCE OF NATURE, Avenged Sevenfold, Cage, Kid Cudi, Asher Roth, The Arcade Fire and many others. These different groups and acts help to shape my lyrical content as well as the overall sound that I look to achieve.
