Michael Charles

Michael Charles Manning Jr. (born March 11, 1986) known professionally as Michael Charles, is an American hip hop recording artist from Houston,Texas currently based in Los Angeles, California. At a very early age he became fascinated with music as he grew up listening to the likes of 2pac, Jay-Z, Ma$e and DMX. Michael attended John Foster Dulles High School and it was not until around this time that he choose to quit playing sports and began to seriously pursue a career in rap music after going to the studio with a childhood friend. In 2007, he embarked on his musical career as a teenager by releasing his debut mixtape Heart Of The City.
Michael's lyrical skills and versatility awarded him the reputation of being one of the most refreshing new rappers. That garnered local attention and this was on display when he opened up for Drake on the So Far Gone Tour in Austin, Texas in the summer of 2009.
"That night is a night that I'll never forget. Not too many artists can say that they've opened up for the biggest artist in music right now. But I can." says Michael who began to release a series of mixtape projects such as RAW (2010), Still RAW (2012) and LosHoustonAngeles (2015) that began to get some notoriety. Many have acknowledged his skill and have predicted him to be an artist to keep an eye on.
Michael Charles plans to continue dominating the underground and to attack the mainstream with the release of his debut LP titled 'Sincerely Michael' due out this year. "Sincerely Michael is the album I've been waiting to make my whole life. I just figured there couldn't be a better time then right now."
