Bio

A true chameleon, Michael creates pop music with an innovative rhythmic tapestry. He is fluent on voice, piano, drumset, marimba, djembe, dumbek, bells and gongs, and synthesizer. He has performed/recorded with top recording artists including Stanley Jordan, Mark Egan, Third World, George Clinton, Yoko Ono, Trey Gunn and poet Coleman Barks to name a few . He fronted his own world music group and has two solo recordings, the self-titled Michael D'Agostino and Future Reflections. As a composer, he has written for television and film including 20th Century Fox's "X-Files", the Lifetime Channel, TNN, and Stephen King's "Maximum Overdrive". He was signed to Universal Music in 2005 as a member of world jam band King Chubby. He has composed and performed for the modern dance companies of David Dorman and Ralph Lemon. Michael previously taught electronic and acoustic drums at the Sam Ash Institute and electronic drums at the Drummer's Collective in New York City. He is currently working on a book about drumming and breathing.
