The best kept secret in music

"University of West Florida"

"Michael is a very talented individual who goes far and beyond what most entertainers deliver. I have to say that I certainly received more than expected. His humor was without a doubt some of the funniest material I've heard in quite some time. His interaction with the audience was hilarious and our students loved him! He was also the first to sing Karaoke at the event immediately following the show. I can honestly say Michael is one performer who will be invited back."
- Joy M. Tompkins, Program Director

"Penn State University"

"Michael Dean Ester also proved he could hold his own against the headliner (SNL's Jim Breuer) and he kept the audience laughing at his take on everyday college issues." - Times Leader

"Assumption College"

"Michael put on an outstanding and interactive show filled with humor that not only made students laugh, but also made them think. Focusing on topics like dating, college life and career choices, Dean Ester's routine is ideal for college atmospheres." - Jason T. Patnode, Assumption College Comedy Chair

"Fort Hays State University"

"Michael Dean Ester's performance was tremendously funny, very audience-oriented, and upbeat. His easy-going personality made his performance outstanding. It also made it easier to talk to him before and after the show. I would highly recommend Michael Dean Ester to any university." - LEADER

"East Stroudsburg University"

"We were extremely impressed with Michael Dean Ester. He was not only talented, friendly, and easy going with our staff and students, but also extremely professional in his act from beginning to end. ...He had our audience hysterical from the moment he walked on stage." - One Night Stand Committee

"Saint Joseph University"

"A wonderful performance. Everyone really enjoyed the show and many students thought Michael was one of the best comedians we've had at St. Joe." - Student Union Board

"University of Wisconsin - Oshkosh"

"Michael did an awesome job-he had them rolling in the aisles! We had 251 - capacity is 250. Everyone had a great time, and he has to be one of the easiest people to work with." - Jerry Bloesl

"Coe College"

"He was absolutely awesome! He was our first comedy act of the year and we had a fantastic crowd. I'm sure you can relate to this, but being such a small campus we sometimes struggle getting people to leave the safety of their cozy rooms...but we had people waiting 15 minutes before showtime. That never happens!

One thing I love about Michael is that he has such a great message to the's like he tricks them into getting involved and making good choices in college...and they don't even realize it while they're laughing themselves to tears." - Jackie Weber

"Central Community College"

“Michael was extremely easy to work with. There was no real concern with the setup for his show. He can adapt quickly. His requests were simple to fulfill. He asked about the campus, as a new visitor, trying to learn more about his audience. He tailored the material to the campus and its students, which was appreciated. In discussing the show afterwards, Michael also offered suggestions to help us make future events even more successful. What a breeze this show was!” - Activities Director

"Doane College"

“Michael was awesome to work with. He is a class act. I would invite him back to our campus again and again.” - Student Activities Coordinator/Advisor

Still working on that hot first release.

Shortly after birth (sometimes earlier), children begin to hear about the importance of pursuing an education. This handy bit of guidance is perhaps the only thing a child hears more than No! Unfortunately, no one bothers to talk about: WHY? What is the point of pursuing an education beyond high school and how does it figure into becoming a success?

Comedian Michael Dean Ester guides audiences through the pressures placed on todays college-bound generation. His goal is to help young adults arrive at the true meaning of success and demonstrate how a college education can help them define success in their individual lives. Using his own life as an example, Michael encourages students to discover their own particular skills and interests as the basis for a fulfilling career. (The Reason Youre Here!) After all, those who are passionate about their work are the richest people indeed because they dont really work at all.

When you discover your passion, you unleash a whole new motivation for pursuing an education.
You finally understand why you started hearing
about it the moment you were born. You learn the
real reason you go to college: YOU.

This laughter-filled presentation is a must for students embarking on a college education. In an era where so much emphasis is placed on the need to plan for college, a staggering number of students forget to plan for what comes afterward. Throughout a decade of performing as a comedian at college campuses nationwide, Michael has spoken with literally thousands of students who profess no clue whatsoever what theyre doing there. Put simply, this presentation is the clue that solves the puzzle. By placing the college experience in its proper context as a pathway to a rewarding career, Michael challenges his audience to engage their imaginations as well as their brains.
