I am an explorer of rhythms and beats seeking out new territories in sound.

Biography

My formal percussion education began at the age of 9 studying with the all-around amazing James Gault (who's own instructor was taught by world renouned master and author Charles Wilcoxon). During my many years of private lessons, I entered the symphonic band and orchestra in middle school and high school. While in high school, I also became part of the award-winning and nationally respected Hilliard Davidson drum line, playing marching snare all four years. I participated in many solo, ensemble and indoor/outdoor marching band & drumline competitions. After graduation, I returned the next 4 years as an instructor for the drum line; an experience that was extremely valuable in shaping even further my love of percussion and music.

Over the last 15 years or so I have been a member of several rock, pop and jazz/funk bands such as Level 205, Second Hand Psychos, Breezeway, Sonic Tribe, Seven for Eden and the international act Bobby D and the Ivory Cats. I have also played numerous sessions and stand-in gigs with a variety of bands, orchestras and ensembles.

Currently I am busy presenting drum clinics, giving private lessons and producing my own DJ/Drumming live show. I also always welcome the opportunities to perform and record with the finest local, national and international talent.

In addition to being a drummer, I'm a photographer, multi-media artist and tennis player.
