On A Long and Lonely Road

Written By: Michael Guy

There's my shadow on the wall, a lonely reflection of a soul bound to fall.
Guess I really lost my way. The future seemed so bright, but that was yesterday.
Broken mirror on the floor, it's just a reminder of shattered dreams from before.
Familiar bottle comfort me. If just for a little while, let's mask reality.

On a long and lonely road, I'm so far away from home. How did I get so far astray? Well, I better figure it out real soon, before it's too late.

Whispering voice inside my head, a distant fleeting sound, the message remains unread.
I'm screaming out so loud inside, but nobody hears it, the sound of muted pride.
They walk with demons of their own, a thousand shadows pass me searching for a home.
The walls are closing in real fast. I'm standing on the edge, preparing for the crash.

On a long and lonely road, I'm so far away from home. How did I get so far astray? Well, I better figure it out, before it's too late.

On a long and lonely road, I'm so far away from home. How did I get so far astray? Well, I better figure it out real soon,.....
before it's too late.

SON

Written By: Michael Guy

There aren't too many moments, in a yourng mans life, that truely define the man he is inside.
But I remember the day, like it was yesterday, you came into this world son, in my heart you found a place.
I know sometimes your angry son, you can't imagine why, a love that started strongly, could just wither up and die.
But understand the difference, with the bonds of flesh and blood, those ties cannot be broken, they can never be undone.

Now, it's hard to explain son, the twist and turns that we call life, love that is lost, sometimes pain can be the price. But the one thing I can hope for son, is that you'll come to understand, as you fight your own battles, on your quest to be a man.

This world that we live in, can truely be a place, leaving unanswered questions with few clues to be traced.
But one thing that is certain, about a father for his son, his love will never fade away, it will never be undone.
The thing I most regret son, is the time that we lost, all the things I missed, you know I will never recover the cost.
But recall the situation in a slightly different light, when you needed a helping hand, I was never far from sight.

Now it's hard to explain son, the twist and turns that we call life, love that is lost, sometimes pain can be the price. But the one thing I can hope for son, is that you 'll come to understand,as you fight your own battles, on your quest to be a man.

Yes, it's hard to explain son, the twist and turns that we call life, love that is lost, sometimes pain can be the price. But the one thing I can hope for son, is that you'll come to understand, as you fight your own battles on your quest to be a man.

Open Your Heart

Written By: Michael Guy

I could move high mountains, part the ocean waters too, if you opened up your heart.
I could make the sunshine, on a cold and cloudy day, if you opened up your heart.
I could take away all your pain, show you a good life there to be gained, just open up that heart.

What would it take to make you see, to understand this feeling inside of me, a love there will always be. But even though were the closest of friends, I know your heart is seeking a different end and we will never be.

I could reach for the heavens, pull down the brightest star in the night,if you opened up your heart.
I could make the rain fall down, from a bright blue sky above, if you opened up your heart.
I could show you a life with a brand new view, make every dream of yours come true, just open up that heart.

What would it take to make you see, to understand this feeling inside of me, a love there will always be. But even though were the closest of friends, I know your heart is seeking a different end and we will never be.

Even though were the closest of friends, I know your heart is seeking a different end, it's time to set it free.

Memories Of Yesterday

Written By: Michael Guy

Lines on my face, withered from the sun, reflecting on the past, never thought this day would come.
Looking in the mirror, my eyes, they look the same, but the body that surrounds, well it's feeling all the pain.
How could this have happened? This life, its passed me by. It seems like only yesterday, I was gazing up in the sky.
Making all my big plans, the future strong and bright, the promise of a yourng man, that never came to light.

So live each day to the fullest. Please don't hesitate. Don't put off tilll tomorrow, your dreams of today.
Because, sooner or later, at the end of the day, what you're left with are the memories of yesterday.

My hands are old and weathered, show the work that they have done.
I use to carry the world inside them, but the sands of time have won.
My back is all but broken, now I'm sitting in this chair, staring out the window at a life that once was there.
I can't believe this happened, I just let it slip away. You know I thought I had forever, back in my younger day.
I would wish for time to fly, but now I'm on the other end. Oh, what I wouldn't give, to have those days back again.

So, live each day to the fullest. Please don't hesitate. Don't put off till tomorrow, your dreams of today.
Because sooner or later, at the end of the day, what your left with are the memories of yesterday.

Yes, sooner or later, at the end of the day, what your left with are the memories........of yesterday.

Freedoms Endless Road

Written By: Michael Guy

When I was a little boy about the age of five, my daddy took me by the hand, he said, let's take a look outside.
Sitting in the driveway, was a wonderful suprise, a new and shiny two wheel ride, he said, let's try it on for size.
He lifted me upon the seat, lined me up with the road and with a great big shove he said, pedal hard and dont let go.
Once I got my balance, I was riding hard and free and in that joyful moment, something special came over me.

Cause I was born to ride........
(Feel the wind on my face, what a beautiful place) You know

I was born to ride................
(Got the rumble below, Oh what a magical show)You see

I was born to ride...................
Look a trail up ahead, don't know what more can be said) Except

I was born to ride .................

I finally was a young man, standing on the showroom floor. There stood that beautiful V-twin, my heart had been longing for.
He tossed the keys to me and said, why not take it for a spin. My heart was beating fast by then, so I knew that I was in.
I sat down on that saddle and lined the bike up with the road, turned the key and cranked the throttle, as the blood began to flow.
Heading down the highway, as the pipes began to sing, that rockin feeling was back again and these words began to ring. That

I was born to ride..........
(Feel the wind in my face, what a beautiful place) You know

I was born to ride............
(time to open it wide, what a feeling inside) You see

I was born to ride.............
(look a trail up ahead, don't know what more can be said) Except
