Michael Hanna


Wistful, melodic, relaxing solo piano music in the New Age style. Michael's work is reminiscent of Windham Hill pianists, such as George Winston or Jim Brickman. Michael's CDs feature original compositions and arrangement of classic folksongs and hymns.


Quick Facts:

Michael graduated from the University of Denver in 2006 with a Bachelor of Music degree in Music Composition from the Lamont School of Music.

Michael began composing the same year he began playing: 1992.

Michael grew up in Boulder, CO and Littleton, CO. He currently resides in Centennial, CO.

Future projects:

Rock CD - Michael is also a singer/songwriter and is working on a CD of his pop music. Expected release in Spring/Summer 2007.

"Just Yesterday" - Released March 2005. Features seven original works, plus arrangements of Danny Boy, Be Thou My Vision, It Is Well With My Soul, and Red River Valley.

"Noelle: A Christmas Album" - Released November 2005. Features solo piano compositions and arrangements, including: Of the Father's Love Begotten; Comfort, Comfort, Ye My People; The First Noel; O Come, O Come, Emmanuel; Carol of the Bells; In the Bleak Midwinter; Pachelbel's 'Canon in D'; Greensleeves; Silent Night.
