Michael Lee Seiler

Michael Lee Seiler

Winner of the Nov. 2008 Mid North Michigan Blues Challenge at Streeter's Ground Zero Night Club, Michael Lee is a Singer-Songwriter based in Northern Michigan.

From his teens playing in the band "Cody" to present, Michael Lee has always had a heart for music. His more recent exposure as a founding member of "Synergy" then followed by "Synergy Song", has gained him some local notoriety, but it's his solo presence that is his fastest growing strength. While still having fun with members of the "Roscoe Jordan Blues Band", and "Claude Fraug", his main focus still remains his solo-songwriting career. Opportunities to attend John D. Lamb's Songwriter's retreats, as well as workshops by Michael Gunger, and Jared Anderson, has enabled his creativity to flourish. Most of the songs on his new CD, "My Own Man" are directly born of the techniques gleaned from those workshops and interaction with well known songwriters. Utilizing strictly original songs helped gain him first place in the Mid North Michigan Blues Challenge held in November at Streeter's Ground Zero of Traverse City. This win secured him a spot to compete in the International Blues Challenge in Memphis, come February.
