Bio

Mixed with a melting pot of global culture and development, “Michael Liuzza & Café au Lait” have been determined to represent the best of Original music coming out of the Big Easy.
Soulful Vocals, dynamic percussive movements, and a hybrid of Funk, Jazz, and Blues
Infused in their works bring a captivated audience of wide ranges, and on a growing scale.
The group consists of:
Michael Liuzza, a native writer and performer, from a family of French Quarter musicians. Michael graduated from Louisiana State University in Communications and Theatre Performance.
Nick Bernard, the bass player for the band, is a master carpenter, who’s been a part of Major Motion Picture sets and also worked in missionaries in Central America prior to beginning his musical journey. He’s currently the owner of StudioSeven17, where the band records their works.
Anthony Knighten, percussionist and music producer, grew up on the west bank of New Orleans. Anthony has developed on a multitude of instruments with help from his musically diverse family. Both his parents are college graduates in Music from Xavier University. He’s performed since childhood and has a seasoned style all to his own. Andrew Davis, also a graduate from Louisiana State University in Theatre Performance, brings a soul to his guitar that is unique due to his list of musical influences, one of which, his mother, is an accomplished pianist and vocalist. Andrew’s philosophy, “Music is a universal language that allows us to maintain an inseparable connection to the source. It transcends race, religion, ethnicity, culture, and sexuality, and reaches down into your being to unify your mind, body, and soul!”
The band is marketing internationally through their organization, “Project 7” which will involve performing their works and continuing to represent their native state as Ambassadors of Good Will.
Immense energy, heart grabbing soul, and bluesy funk mixed in a rock glass! Cheers! Support Original Art!
