Outbox
The Science In Me (Floortom)
One can only imagine what the Wet Wet Wet audience would have made of Outbox, the band having supported the cheeky Clydebank chappies last year. That’s not to say they’re doing anything particularly unusual, but their brand of Coldplay-influenced anthemic rock with U2-style guitar interludes must seem as alien to a Marti Pellow hen night as Outbox themselves would on your average night down the 13th Note. Like any band with solid songwriting and capable playing, they could go on to greater things, though you’d imagine that the stadium rock boat has already sailed.

"Daniel Powter, Feargal Sharkey and D-Ream all in one room. Energetic, raw. It's got to intrigue you…"
Jason Hart (Spiritualized) and Paul Tucker (Lighthouse Family)
"Best pop song of 2007"
Mick MacNeil (Simple Minds)
"The Aberdonian four-piece are hugely influenced by mainstream 80s pop rock. Rasping vocals, girlie harmonies and bubbly wee baselines. Nice. ***"

Bio
After starting out the traditional way, in smokey pubs and bars, to a crowd of 6 or 7, usually yelling out for another rendition of "Sweet Home Alabama", I was spotted by a management company and went on to tour nationally with my band. We made several TV appearances, had a large fan base and even had birthday presents sent to our management by some rather more "loyal" fans. We never quite hit the big time, but suffice to say it set things up nicely for a future in music.
Since then, as a performer, I formed "Outbox". Working with great musicians, we managed a top 40 in Scotland, worldwide airplay, some very big gigs and radio interviews and we even managed to meet the bosses of a Scorsese flick to negotiate the use of two of our tracks!
As a songwriter, I've worked with some fantastic singers and songwriters. Recently I've placed some tracks with signed artists in New York, Switzerland and Central Europe.
I also work with Mahjong Music in the dance field, and our most recent project audioair is doing great, with worldwide airplay and rave reviews. www.myspace.com/audioair
That's the story so far, but the real best selling novel type story begins now...
