"Everyday Man"

“With a wisdom behind his lyrics and a sound so definitive, it’s hard to believe that “Everyday Man” is Michael Meade’s first original album. Indeed, the long-time cover artist and music instructor joins the original music party with an effort containing the prowess of a veteran songwriter. Having a sense of satisfaction about one’s place in the world is a recurring theme on “Everyday Man.” On the album’s title track, Meade claims his own imperfections with a sense of comfort that comes with life experience. “Everyday Man” features sweet ballads alongside fun, down-to-earth mid-tempo rock and country tunes. The eight-track offering is tied together with Meade’s powerful, soulful voice and profound worldview, and is a great first offering from an artist with a lot to say.”

"One Of Those days"

Michael Meade Provides Hope on ‘One of Those Days’
Posted on September 17, 2016 by Gerard Longo
Artist: Michael Meade
Song: One of Those Days
Genre: Acoustic rock
Release Date TBD

“Everyday Man” Michael Meade is back with new music, releasing a soothing piece of Americana with new single, “One of Those Days.”

With a gentle guitar melody and a folksy baritone, Meade relates to listeners going through life’s everyday trials by first asking, “Did you ever have one of those days you should have stayed in bed?” Lyrically, Meade acknowledges the part of the human condition that leaves us in a funk when nothing is going right, telling the story with a comforting, understanding fatherly presence.

“One of Those Days’” hopeful acoustic guitar tones are equal parts catchy and comforting, lending support to Meade’s vocals as if to sonically communicate, “Whatever you’re going through, it will be OK.” “One of Those Days” is good listening for anyone who needs a pick-me-up, as it shines a ray of light on days when it’s difficult to see through the clouds.

Hear the world premiere of “One of Those Days” on Monday’s season premiere of The Quinn Spinn, 6 p.m. ET on YouTube with replays on SoundCloud, iTunes, and Lehigh Valley Underground. - Gerard Longo

Artist: Michael Meade
Single: Wrestling With the Devil (LISTEN)
Released: Sept. 14, 2016
Genre: Americana

Singer-songwriter Michael Meade has a knack for turning life’s pain and confusion into songs that soothe the soul. He’s done it again on his recent single, “Wrestling With the Devil.”

The great thing about “Wrestling With the Devil” is that, like so many of Meade’s songs, it’s applicable to all of us. Meade could be singing about any specific personal trial, but he presents the story in such a way that anyone can apply the lyrics to his or her own struggle. Meade encapsulates the way we search for answers from time to time, whether we do so in a spiritual sense or from the physical world itself.

Sonically, Meade’s baritone soars through the chorus of “Wrestling With the Devil,” which proves to be one of his finer vocal performances. The guitar work is gentle, with a backing waltz rhythm to make this one hearken to the early days of rock and roll with a country flair. - Gerard Longo
