Biography

After many years as a lead vocalist/multi instrumentalist touring the east coast in different projects then performing throughout LA’s popular club circuit, this now piano-based singer/songwriter Michael Paul (also a grateful husband and father), currently resides in Temecula, CA. Paul and his shining new six-piece band; including three singers, one pianist, a keyboardist, two guitarists, a drummer and a bassist are actively booking west coast shows from San Diego to San Francisco, and ambitiously promoting the latest CD, “Reach.”

Post release of “Reach,” receiving rave reviews across US Internet radio, Paul was awarded “Best Song of the Year,” twice – once with 'Natural Disaster' then again with 'Hollywood Postcard,' on "iLike2Rock.net." Michael Paul has since been featured on local TV – a PBS broadcast of “Laff It Off With Grace.” On the show Michael gave a live solo performance of 'Hollywood Postcard' then interviewed with host Grace Fraga. Paul then produced his latest single, 'Fruition' that won him the “Best Male Vocalist” award on UK Internet radio, "RadioGetsWild.com."

Now with over 26,400 views on YouTube, Michael’s HD 'Natural Disaster' video has his fan base growing rapidly, and globally. Most recent live performances include, "The Temecula Community Theater," followed by a local Cancer fundraising event, “Rock Out Cancer.” Future plans are to perform live throughout southern CA. Michael Paul will also endeavor to produce and release two or three more singles, and/or HD music videos in 2013.

Fruition

Written By: Michael Paul

You cooked me with your fish in a barrel
I bet you thought I'd drown in your stew
Bare are my bones on like a dog you chew
On your throne you're better
Better pitch all you own in the well you wish in

They said I
I didn't have the mind to reject your proposition

Get on fruition baby
It's not tradition
It just runs in the family
And I'm such a handyman

Yeah yeah
Oh oh my my my my

Unconscionable ways you put a man down
Neurotic she drones on your avenue
You're set in your tracks but I will run you through
With my new human condition

Yeah they said I'd
I'd never revive such a
Such a fallible mission

Get on fruition baby
It's not tradition
It just runs in the family
And I'm such a handyman

Room for the faint and wary hearted
I'm moving everybody two by two
It’s the end of the line
Well in your half a mind come on get your
Eggman and coo-coo-ca-choo

Get on fruition baby
It's not tradition
It just runs in the family
And I'm such a handyman

Hollywood Postcard

Written By: Michael Paul

Most people spend time back-to-back waiting to be untied from the railroad tracks
One big break and a line or two is all they need
Others get drunk to their health, sing with me we got nothing else
I’m still learning how to show no mercy
Or so somebody told me

I was right, I was right, I was right to come
Mother relieve your kodachrome
It’s my millennium
To get high and smile into the nations eyes
Right where they fall from the sky
These days everyone seems to subscribe to fame

It’s been years and years on and under attack
Move a mountain set the front line back
I recall that blessing from you all to leave

Still living in the valley on a wing and a will
Living to level all the Hollywood hills
I might need an exchange of currency
Or so somebody told me

I was right, I was right, I was right to come
Mother relieve your kodachrome
It’s my millennium
To get high and smile into the nations eyes
They want to rewrite that line
These days everyone seems to subscribe to fame

Struggle

Written By: Michael Paul

I can’t imagine
Is my brain washed
Are my dreams squashed
I need somebody to help me clean my clock
Time stopped but it won’t stand still
I was chasing life when I got caught
Struggle

A little something that you’ve been planning on
Another moment that your gonna shine
No second-guessing what you leave behind

A little longer and it’s gonna be yours
But for now you’re satisfied
No hesitation you reach for the sky

I can’t imagine
Is my brain washed
Are my dreams squashed
I need somebody to help me clean my clock
Time stopped but it won’t stand still
I was chasing life when I got caught
Struggle

You’re never sorry to say what you want to say
You believe ‘cause you want to believe
No consequences could make you retreat

You never hurry when you want to get away
Spend no time on your knees
No invitation you come as you please

I can’t imagine
Is my brain washed
Are my dreams squashed
I need somebody to help me clean my clock
Time stopped but it won’t stand still
I was chasing life when I got caught
Struggle

Natural Disaster

Written By: Michael Paul

She’ll wait at the edge of the world
In an infinite pause for applause
Swallowing clouds
Evaporating in laughter

And while she’ll pause rewind repeat
She’ll never get what she’s after
No anomaly
Just a perfectly natural disaster

And she is herself
And she wants so much
That she can’t go wrong
From the world outside
Oh there’s just no shelter

You can close your eyes
You can turn away
You can shut her out
But it’s impossible
For you to forget her

She’ll color a smile on her face
Carry the fear in us all
Give up and give out
Give into chemical rapture

And while her cries are indiscreet
She’ll never get what she’s after
No anomaly
Just a perfectly natural disaster

Don’t you need her
Faster faster
Could you still be you without her
Deploy
Destructive love toy
Addictive decoy
She’s coming for you boy

And she is herself
And she wants so much
That she can’t go wrong
From the world outside
Oh there’s just no shelter

You can close your eyes
You can turn away
You can shut her out
But it’s impossible
For you to forget her
