Bio

About Michael Ryon-
Michael Ryon is mainly a guitarist/composer who dabbles in bass/keyboards/programming and can sing. Born in Hollywood, raised in the South Bay, Michael has been in involved in numerous bands that have played the LA/OC circuits for the last 8 years. Since the dissolution of the last band ‘Pology’ Michael has struck out on his own.

About No Such Luck-
No Such Luck is the bastard brain child of Michael Ryon. 'Still Life' is the debut EP containing 5 songs that mix Rock/punk/eclectic/ to form moods that range from hard to atmospheric to mellow to chaos. The songs 'Still Life', 'Ghost' & 'Psychotherapy' feature Axel Clarke on drums and percussion while all guitars/vocals/keyboards and extra percussion programming are handled by Michael Ryon. Same goes for the production and engineering. No Such Luck is an attempt to weave together the multiple myriad of my influences into one cohesive package. My influences range from The Pixies (and Frank Black solo as well), Radiohead, Tool, Sparklehorse & NIN. I feel that ‘Still Life’, ‘Ghost’ & ‘Down to Me’ show off this dynamic range the best.

I am multifaceted and would be interested in producing albums as well. One of the compliments I keep getting on the EP is the production, especially since it was made in my bedroom on a Mac G4. Being a composer and musician, I can see myself collaborating with different artists, and being a diverse guitarist who can play anything I could be a studio musician as well. In short, I have many talents that can be tapped.
