"Thank you!"

Somerville was an absolute riot, an audience pleaser both on and off the stage. His stand-up performance coupled with his “girlfriend” monologues and audience participation acts were more than what we expected. Somerville engages his audience and leaves them twisting in their seats with a comedic anticipation of where he will take them next.

"Thanks again"

Michael Somerville did a great job making EVERYONE laugh. He really worked the crowd into his performance while creatively tying in his material throughout. If he didn’t see you laughing, he made it a point to. He had the energy, he had the sarcasm, he had the brilliant question of whether pharmacists began to pursue their dreams by dispersing tic-tacs as children? That was just one creative twist for all the pharmacy students in the crowd. I would highly recommend him to any institution to perform. I would love to have him back... if he’s available!

Sincerely,
Chris Hopkins, Recreation/Program Coordinator

"University of Notre Dame's athletic award show"

Dear Michael,

In short, your performance at the 2006 OSCARS was absolutely phenomenal. To that end, I wish you all the best and look forward to seeing you perform at future Notre Dame events.

God Bless,

Bio

Michael tried standup comedy on a dare while a student at the University of Notre Dame. He was soon emceeing Fighting Irish pep rallies and growing 70's style sideburns to do extra work in “Rudy”. His exploits are chronicled in the best-seller “Domers”, a book about unique students at the school.

Upon graduation, Michael moved to NYC and took a job in advertising but, when his neck became irritated from shaving every day, he retired to pursue comedy. While making a sparse living emceeing Bar Mitvahs, Michael honed his craft in bars and coffee shops. His diligence is now paying off.

In the past year alone, Michael has appeared on Comedy Central’s Premium Blend, as a panelist on several VH1 shows and the season finale of “The Apprentice”. He is the new host of Nick at Nite's "Road Crew" and the Starz Comedy documentary “Stand Up or Shut Up”.
XM Radio just named Michael their “New Comic on the Block” and his CD, “Welcome to Somerville” is in regular rotation on both XM and Sirius Radio. Additionally, Michael’s sharp writing appears in several publications, including Time Magazine, Glamour and Maxim.
