Bio

Since launching 'Dirt Farmer', their "pop gem" (Gemma Pike, Triple J) debut single in 2012, Perth 5 piece The Disappointed have picked up national airplay on Triple J, supported Perth's Emperors, Love Junkies, Adelaide's Dexter Jones, toured nationally and played shows all over WA.

The Disappointed play a harmony laden blend of jagged new wave, lush pop and epic post rock. Their Dave Parkin (Emperors, Jebediah) produced debut EP 'Stranger' was released nationally through Firestarter Distribution in May. Leading single 'Every Made Up Eye In The City' is a thought provoking humanist ode to life's grey areas and a bouncy pop delight. Top shelf hooks, accomplished songwriting and an ambitious blend of light and dark top the mix off.

Since it's release, 'Every Made Up Eye In The City' has received rotation on Triple J, extensive airplay on RTR-FM, and is featured on the 2013 WAM CD and DVD. Their Paul Komadina (Abbe May, Ruby Boots) produced video clip is also featured on the 2013 Music Feedback compilation.

The Disappointed are back in the studio at the end of November after the play the WAM Saturday Spectacular as well as the Beaufort Street Festival. EP #2 will be due out in 2014 with a single being dropped before Christmas.
