Born in Washington D.C. in September of 1985. Raised in Virginia, North Carolina, Kentucky, & Indiana. While serving in the US Army I also lived in Texas. With family in Arizona, Florida, California, New York, West Virginia, & South Carolina. I tell you that to tell you this ; My mind has grasped all forms of what the modern era would call 'swag.' I have allowed my mind to understand every culture and it's ways, making my musical fortunes versatile.

At one time being a very successful local/underground Hip-Hop/R&B artist I learned the ins & outs of the music industry. Selling over 10,000 units with local and internet radio play for a few years from Radio One and other top name Radio Agencies. (b96.5, Kiss FM 98.9, 99.7 DJX,, among others.) With international features on Industry mixtapes such as DJ Green Lantern Presents : Monster Mash Pt.3. (Going by my former musical name Kid Mike & also known as Kid Mike Da Troop.) Owning/Operating two music/vocal production studios in Louisville, KY (Opened at age 20/Sharing the building with Nappy Roots.) & Clarksville, IN (Opened at age 22.) Stopping my music career in the winters of 2008, I gave my life to God. Some ask me why; my only answer is what is a man who can't better himself for happiness? Sure I had what everyone would die for, and I'm sure in a couple more years time the record deal would have fallen into my lap; But what is money and fame without a smile? In all, I didn't want the lifestyle anymore. Nevertheless, my writing could never stop and became not only better, but surely polished.

I have been writing full songs since the age of twelve and have been published in books as a young teenager (Who's Who of American High School Poets.) The young man who got in trouble in school for correcting his English and Poetry teachers for their incorrect teachings of the language I understood so well.

My portfolio includes writings of (Hip-Hop, R&B, Urban, Soul, & Rock songs; as well as Quotes, Short stories, Spoken Word, Poetry, Movie Concepts, & many more styles/forms of writing.)

You ask what separates me from other writers? My only answer would be; Music is only jumbled sounds without a writer who feels emotion through the music.

After surviving a life threatening car wreck in March of 2010, I have realized my destiny, and that is to write until my hands can no longer do so.

In conclusion, I am what some would call a musical genius and as a grown man I have finally realized this myself. I have lived a hard life, but through music I have prospered. While some become drug addicts, writing became my tylenol. Writing two to three songs a day is a normal thing, now it's time for artists to get a chance to buy my work.
