Biography

MVB has had a busy year with two successful tours through the southeast under their belt. The band is in the writing stages of their first new material since 2014’s “Puttin’ The Word in The Streets,” a fun album in which the band took over a 19th-century castle and recorded stripped down while experimenting with various instrumentation.

“The power trio’s version of George Harrison’s forgettable Beatles tune “Old Brown Shoe” demonstrates real genius on the band’s part.”

- Chris Manson The Beachcomber

Fans can expect the arrival of an EP in the Spring of 2018. The plan is to retain the 3-piece format with a few surprise guests thrown into the mix.

The band was born 12 years ago in central New Hampshire when three outcasts met on common ground for their love of the blues. Throughout the school years, they remained active as a trio and picked up a local fan base as word spread around their small state. In 2009, a road trip landed the band in Mississippi where a college education’s worth of blues schooling took place for the next several years. This is when the band began hitting the road hard playing from San Antonio to Key West to Boston, and everywhere in between. Thousands of miles of road and hundreds of honky-tonks serve as the backdrop to what the MVB does: Bring genuine blues and entertainment to good working folk.

When the dust settles you can count on Michael’s spirited blues chops and the Double D’s driving the rhythm train to groove heaven.
