Michael Whitton

Michael Whitton, the eldest son in a musical family of six, was born and raised in Reno, Nevada. He got a Muppet drum set at age 5 and a newspaper route at 9, which fed his video-game habit and helped him buy a pro drum kit.

In college, while sewing raw chicken skin over cantaloupes with a needle and thread to practice for a career as a trauma surgeon/actor, Michael's songwriting began; and after a fateful trip to New York -- moved to Pasadena, California to attend the prestigious American Academy of Dramatic Arts.

After graduation, Michael helped form an award-winning Hollywood theater group that produced original new works, including his self-directed one-acts and three-act play: COMING IN DEAD, which he also produced, designed, starred in, marketed, and underscored with his own 4-track-recorded music.

Michael later developed his own indie production company: Three Walls Entertainment. The lead project was his debut CD "glimpse" and the piano score for his third play: AT GUNPOINT. The production was directed, produced, designed (set, costumes), managed, and grassroots marketed by Michael. It opened for a six-week run in Hollywood on September 13, 2001. Yeah.

Since, Michael wrote (original music & lyrics), arranged, performed, produced, recorded, engineered, edited, mixed, mastered, played each instrument on, and designed the CD and website for his fourth Rock album "A Raisin Between My Toes." As well as, co-wrote, produced, arranged, recorded, engineered, and mixed acoustic singles and albums for local artists/bands.

Currently, Michael is adapting his play to screen.
