"The Apology EP"

Putting on ‘The Apology’ is like receiving a letter from an old friend telling you that they’re coming home to stay… but only for a while. "DAN'S BAR SURVIVES THE WILLIAMS FACTOR"

Dan's Bar & Grill in Denton, Texas was visited by one of the few living guitarists that can claim by heritage, talent and raw energy the title of Guitar Slinger. Although Michael LePaul Williams immediately invokes comparisons to Johnny Winter and Stevie Ray Vaughan with his blistering licks and energy, he refuses to be stereotyped as just a Lightning Blues man. With his soulful vocals on Otis Redding's "That's How Strong My Love Is"; ripping slow blues on Muddy Water's "Champagne & Reefer"; piercing waves of feedback reminiscent of Jimi Hendrix on "Third Stone from the Sun" and "Red House"; and original slinky Texas swing-shuffle riffs and clean jazzy rhythms, Mike shows that his voice and pistachio strat are not so easily classified or limited.

Michael surprises everyone with the energy and style of his guitar; but with his dynamic and versatile voice, you almost believe him when he claims to be, "a singer who just happens to play guitar"! Then his strat fires up again and you know he must be joking! Nobody, including the stand-in drummer and bassist was prepared for, or able to keep up with the guitar onslaught Michael unleashed. This amazing dynamo blew away the room and left everyone feeling that they just witnessed Texas' heir apparent seizing his destiny to join Johnny, Jimi, and Stevie as a guitar legend in his own right. - Denton, Texas
