"Chick Singer Night, March 7 2006"

"Michelle has the drive, work ethic and native talent to make it in the music industry. The crowd thoroughly enjoyed her performance at chick singer night" - Jaclyn Brown, co-director

"Michelle Cummings"

"...an excellent variety of folk and soft rock songs. She had an uplifting yet voluptuous tone, and her piano playing was flawless. She was extremely approachable...several audience members walked up to her keyboard and requested some songs, which she played and sang along with." - East First Coffee House, Tennessee

"Acoustic Coffee, Portland ME"

"The Boston version of Rachel Griffin." - The Portland Phoenix

"Live Review"

"One of the finest young singer/songwriters I have encountered in a long time. Her classical piano training pays off...her style inventive but rooted. She has an intelligent honesty to her lyricwriting that speaks of the personal but transcends the self and becomes universal in all the right ways...

- Joe Jencks - Performer and Songwriter

"Live Review"

"Heard her live in Boston and cried. Powerful." - ITunes

"CD Review"

"This is a lovely little EP. Michelle Cummings has a very pleasing voice. She plays piano and well and these songs are nice pop pockets.
“No Good at Goodbyes” is a very sad song, which has the line, “I’m just tired of loving you…” Eesh, harsh! But it’s pretty all the same.
These songs probably fall in the AAA contemporary category…think Anna Nalick, Vanessa Carlton, etc.
I think she’s really good. I would like to hear more in the future."
- Collected Sounds

Bio

* Since her sold out EP release party, Michelle has been performing all across New England. She opened for 11 time Boston music award recipient Patty Larkin in December 2006! Her EP, Wallflower, is currently being played on local and college radio stations.*

Twenty-four year old Michelle Cummings is a new face on the songwriter scene with a fresh sound worth listening to. A Berklee College of Music graduate and northeastern native, this little songstress has been catching audiences off - guard from Boston to Nashville with her "unique brand of catchy piano-folk tunes and a heartbreaking voice to match." Her songs keep you humming for days. But what stays with you long after she's left the stage is this young songwriter's intense emotional core and her ability to create a mood so tender in so public a place. Surprisingly powerful songs come from this sensitive young woman who sites influences from Patti Griffin and Joni Mitchell to Ben Folds and The Counting Crows.

After spending almost three years in Nashville, Michelle is back home in Boston! Her EP, 'wallflower', can be found at CDBaby, on her website, www.michellecummingsmusic.com, and now on itunes!
